Job Description Job Description Salary: $100,000-$125,000 Treasury Accountant / Senior Accountant Cash & Banking for Commercial Real Estate Firm $100,000$125,000 | In-Office with Flexible Hours | Wichita, KS We are a boutique commercial real estate investment firm based in Wichita, Kansas, seeking a Treasury Accountant to take ownership of daily cash and banking operations across a dynamic, multi-entity portfolio. This is a hands-on, high-visibility role ideal for an experienced accountant or treasury professional who enjoys complexity, values stability, and wants direct exposure to real estate investments, banking relationships, and leadership without public accounting hours or billable time. Youll manage cash activity across 50 legal entities and approximately 100 bank accounts, with real autonomy and the opportunity to improve processes as we continue to scale. What you'll be doing: Cash Management & Liquidity Monitor, record, and reconcile daily cash activity across 100 bank accounts. Prepare daily cash position reports and short-term forecasts. Track wires, ACH, and check activity; investigate and resolve discrepancies. Ensure each entity maintains appropriate liquidity for operating and capital needs. Banking & Treasury Operations Maintain authorized signers, user access, and banking permissions. Open, close, and transition bank accounts as entities are added or restructured. Partner with banking institutions to resolve issues, implement improvements and manage loan processes. Reconciliations & Reporting Perform monthly bank reconciliations for all entities. Identify and resolve reconciling items and variances. Support month-end and year-end close related to cash and treasury activity. Prepare treasury schedules, dashboards, and internal reporting. Intercompany & Investment Activity Record and reconcile intercompany transfers, loans, and cash sweeps. Support capital calls, distributions, and investment funding activity. Monitor compliance with entity-level cash requirements and loan covenants. Controls & Process Improvement Maintain strong internal controls over cash handling and approvals. Support audit and compliance requests. Identify opportunities for automation, process improvements, and system enhancements. What you bring: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 2 years of applicable experience in treasury, cash management, or high-volume accounting. Experience working in multi-entity environments and managing complex cash activity. Strong Excel skills; experience with accounting systems (AppFolio a plus). Detail-oriented, organized, and accurate with strong analytical skills. Understanding of intercompany accounting; commercial real estate or private equity experience a plus. Experience working with banking partners preferred. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. High level of discretion with confidential financial information. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
