• Employment Type: TravelJob Summary:Fid-- is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented, and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's Intensive Care Unit (ICU). This role offers the opportunity to provide life-saving care to critically ill patients in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment. The ICU RN will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to stabilize patients, manage complex conditions, and support families through challenging health situations.Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill adult patients
  • Monitor and interpret vital signs, hemodynamics, and critical lab values
  • Administer medications, IV infusions, blood products, and other therapeutic interventions as prescribed
  • Operate and manage advanced life support equipment such as ventilators, CRRT machines, and infusion pumps
  • Collaborate with intensivists, specialists, respiratory therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to create and implement individualized care plans
  • Recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions and emergency situations promptly
  • Ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families
  • Maintain strict adherence to infection control, patient safety, and hospital policies
  • Participate in continuing education and performance improvement initiativesQualifications:
    • Required:
      • Active RN license in the state of KS
      • Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
      • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
      • Minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting (preferably in ICU or step-down unit)
      • Preferred:
        • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) or working toward certification
        • Experience with ventilator management, sedation protocols, and electronic charting (e.g., Epic)Key Competencies:

            Minimum Requirements:
            
            Current 1-2 years of current ICU RN experience
            Current Kansas RN License
            Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
            Additional Certifications may be required
            Drivers License
            EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
            Final RTO or any scheduling requests
            Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
