Job Title: Travel RN - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Nurse license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: Travel RN position available in a telemetry unit. The unit comprises 37 beds. There are 12 staff members on the unit. Day Shift has 8 RNs, 3 Patient Care Techs, and 1 Unit Clerk. Night Shift also has 8 RNs and 3 Patient Care Techs. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:6, with 1:4 for heart catheter patients. Equipment includes PCA pumps, IV pumps, and chest tubes. EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates should possess strong critical thinking skills. A positive attitude and engagement are essential qualities. Typical procedures performed include central lines, medication drips, heart catheter recovery, and bubble studies.
