Must-Have: - At least 2 years of labor and delivery experience -
Ability to circulate C-sections Job Description: - The labor and
delivery unit consists of 26 beds with a team of 112 staff members.
- Night shift includes 1 Charge Nurse, 12 nurses, 2 Surgical
Technicians, and 1 Unit Clerk. - Patient ratios are as follows: -
1:1 for high-risk labor and C-sections - 1:2 for antepartum, PPROM,
PTL on magnesium, postpartum on magnesium - 1:3 for postpartum on
magnesium without a baby, outpatients - Equipment used includes
Alaris pumps, PCA pumps, Monica Novii telemetry, CPN (GE) monitor.
- The unit uses CPN Gold and Meditech for electronic medical
records. - Typical procedures performed include C-sections,
inductions, AROM, IUPC, DFM, and Doppler. - We encourage
self-scheduling, allowing for flexible shift arrangements. - The
team operates with a collaborative, team-nursing approach,
supporting each other to cover staffing needs. - Strong leadership
is present, with leaders capable of working alongside nurses on the
floor when necessary. - The unit benefits from many tenured nurses
with 20-40 years of experience. - A new OB Hospitalist program
provides attending support to the residency program and assists
