Details – Labor & Delivery RN Location: Salina, Kansas (zip 67401)
Assignment Length: 13-week travel nursing contract Healthcare
Setting: Birth Center (Labor & Delivery), occasional Mom Baby unit
coverage Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00pm – 7:00am) Hours per
Week: 36 Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required Unit
Details: 8-bed LDR with OR and PACU, Level II NICU, 1,200
deliveries/year Patient Population: Neonates, Infants, Adolescents,
Adults Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2100-$2250/week Registered
Nurse Qualifications Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery
RN experience Active Kansas or Compact RN License required
Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart
Monitoring (FHM) Proficiency with Meditech EMR (required) COVID-19
vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Must
reside at least 100 miles from Salina Regional Health Center
Professional references required First-time travel nurses
considered Previous employees of Salina Regional Health Center not
eligible Labor & Delivery RN Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive
nursing care for laboring patients, including high-risk deliveries,
C-sections, and postpartum management Perform sterile speculum
exams, non-stress tests (NST), oxytocin challenge tests (OCT),
reflex checks, and tele interpretation Utilize internal and
external fetal monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration,
and labor management protocols Provide newborn care, including
neonatal resuscitation and assessment Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare teams (PT, RT, pharmacy, social
services, rapid response) Educate and support patients and families
throughout the birthing process Accurately document care in
Meditech EMR Float to Mom Baby unit as needed Discover the charm of
