qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Salina, Kansas, 67401! Pay

12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: Valid state
license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, TNCC preferred
Must-Have: - Meditech experience required - Float required: First
to float to med-surg/ED for in-patient holds/ICU floor status
patients - Ability to care for Med-Surg/Telemetry patients in the
assigned areas Description: Meditech experience is required without
exceptions. Every other weekend is required, which could adjust to
every third weekend depending on staffing needs. First-time
travelers are accepted. All time off requests must be submitted at
the time of application. The unit has a capacity of 23 beds. It is
a progressive care unit that treats post-op cardiac patients. When
floated to the emergency department, staff will care for emergency
department inpatient holds. When in the ICU, staff will care for
progressive care patients or Med-Surg/Telemetry patients. Staff
will never manage ICU or emergency department status patients. The
patient ratio is 5 patients per nurse, both days and nights. The
unit provides interdisciplinary support, including physical
therapy, respiratory services, and social services. Patients
generally present with post-cath lab, cardiac, stroke, trauma, and
general medical diagnoses. Staff may manage various medical
procedures and equipment, such as blood product administration,
