has passed. The Impact You Will Make Under supervision of a
licensed Funeral Director, the Assistant Funeral Director will
assist and observe funeral services and perform embalming related
services for the funeral home. Also, in this role you may perform
some functions related to the coordination of legal and
administrative matters associated with funeral service. This role
will be an empathetic professional that understands the value of
providing our families with all options in their time of need. In
this position, you will also be responsible for: Performing
technical, cosmetic, including assistance with the preparation of
deceased for visitation, funeral and/or transfer of remains from
place of death as required. May assist in finalizing details
discussed during arrangement conferences, i.e., contacts clergy,
files death certificate, distributes service schedule, notifies
newspaper, and prepares draft prayer cards. May assist with
funerals while not acting as a primary director. Assists with
funeral services and visitation, including greeting clergy, family
members & friends, coordinating instruction of pallbearers and
driving funeral coach, family car, flower car and/or related
vehicles and the specific functions & duties associated with each
type of vehicle. Assists with parking lot attendance & coordination
of family vehicles at both church & funeral home services. Prepares
or coordinates the preparation of funeral home related permits and
documents. This may include Burial-Transit permits and others as
required. Transfer of the deceased or remains from residence,
nursing home or hospital to funeral home, to/from out-of-town
airports, hospitals, cemeteries, funeral homes and/or mortuary
service facilities. Maintains constant & continuous cleanliness and
sanitary disinfection of preparation room and related instruments &
equipment. Must be willing to assist with light housekeeping duties
as necessary after services, and in preparation of the next
service, to include vacuum sweeping, dusting, attention to
restrooms, emptying trash receptacles, etc. Maintain up-to-date
inventory of essential supplies and reordering as necessary.
Performs all other related duties & functions as assigned.

he/she preaches. Requirements Must have Assistant Funeral Director
License for the state of Kansas. High school diploma or equivalent,
as a minimum educational requirement. Possesses a high degree of
concentration and attention for a continuous period of time. Able
to occasionally stand/walk and frequently lift or push. Must posses
a valid drivers license and access to a personal vehicle. Offsite
appointments will occur in this role including meetings with
clients and community events. Mileage reimbursement is provided for
travel associated with job duties. Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills. Ability to interact and collaborate
