Job Details - Location: Salina, KS 67401 (Saline County) — Salina healthcare jobs / Kansas nursing jobs - Setting: Med/Surg Telemetry – Surgical Unit (40 beds) - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Start Date: March 23, 2026 - Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), 3 shifts per week - Hours per Week: 36 - Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend - Patient Ratio: 1:6 - Unit Scrub Color: Navy Blue - EMR: Meditech (experience required) - Estimated Weekly Salary: $1910-$2010/week Qualifications / Job Requirements - Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience (acute care/telemetry required) - Experience caring for pediatric and adult patient populations - Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license (required at submission) - Current BLS and TNCC certifications (required) - Meditech EMR experience required — familiarity with telemetry documentation and medication administration - Must live at least 100 miles from facility (mileage rule applies) - Professional references required - COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered) - Prior travel nursing experience preferred (first-time travelers not accepted) - Prior employees of Salina Regional are not eligible Primary Responsibilities - Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to surgical and telemetry patients, including ortho, neuro, trauma, general surgery, urology, and pediatrics - Float as needed to 4 Med unit: nephrology, oncology, general medical, and dialysis - Respond with rapid response and code teams; manage endocrine/metabolic, GI, GU/renal, IV therapy, wound care, respiratory issues, and isolation precautions - Administer medications (Heparin, Insulin, PCA) and manage surgical drains, chest tubes, and advanced respiratory support (CPAP/BiPAP, HFNC) - Deliver pre- and post-operative nursing care for adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV therapy, physical therapy (PT), respiratory therapy (RT), pharmacy, and social services - Document patient care accurately in Meditech EMR to meet compliance and quality standards - Maintain a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment for patients and families Apply now to join our Salina healthcare team as a Med/Surg Tele RN.
