Salina (zip code 67401) is a vibrant community in central Kansas with friendly neighborhoods, beautiful parks, and easy access to local amenities—ideal for travel nurses seeking Kansas nursing jobs./n /n/nJob Details — Travel Nurse / L&D RN/n /n - Location: Salina, KS (zip 67401) — Saline County, central Kansas/n - Role: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) / Travel Nurse/n - Job Type: Travel Nursing, Contract/n - Contract Length: 13 weeks/n - Start Date: April 6, 2026/n - End Date: July 6, 2026/n - Shift: Night shift, 3 x 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)/n - Hours per Week: 36/n - Setting: Birth Center (L&D) with occasional float to Mom Baby unit/n - Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend required/n - Patient Ratios: 2:1 (AWHONN standards)/n - Orientation: 24 hours provided/n /n/nJob Requirements — Labor & Delivery RN Qualifications/n /n - Minimum 1.5 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN (L&D RN) experience — clinical maternal-newborn and high-acuity delivery experience preferred/n - Active Kansas RN license or Compact RN license (must be active at time of submission)/n - Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate FHM, BLS, NRP/n - Meditech EMR experience required — documentation experience in hospital EMR systems/n - Travel nursing experience preferred; first-time travelers considered case-by-case/n - COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered)/n - Candidate must reside at least 100 miles from facility/n - References required; prior employees of Salina Regional are not eligible/n /n/nResponsibilities — Labor & Delivery & Maternal-Newborn Care/n /n - Provide comprehensive, evidence-based care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and postpartum as a travel nurse and L&D RN/n - Assist with high-risk deliveries, Cesarean sections, forceps/vacuum-assisted deliveries, and immediate neonatal care/n - Perform and interpret fetal monitoring (internal and external), NSTs, OCTs, and reflex assessments in accordance with AWHONN guidelines/n - Administer medications, manage IVs, and transfuse blood products when indicated/n - Support breastfeeding and lactation, conduct newborn assessments, and provide discharge teaching to families/n - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and rapid response teams/n - Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Meditech EMR consistent with best practices for nursing documentation/n - Float to the Mom Baby unit as needed and support unit staffing needs during the travel nursing assignment/n /n/n Apply now: If you're a dedicated Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) seeking travel nursing opportunities or Kansas nursing jobs, submit your resume and references today.
