The packaging production line Machine Operator performs a variety
of functions including but not limited to the operation of high
speed packaging equipment, completion of daily production and/or QA
paperwork. Ensures work is completed in a safe manner and within
the quality parameters established.

professional development.Core ResponsibilitiesResponsible for safe
operation of packaging production line(s) to deliver a product that
meets the customers' expectations.Follows Safety and Quality
Assurance rules and procedures.Sets packaging machine, stuffing
equipment, injection equipment, and other various food
manufacturing equipment to appropriate specifications as found in
set guidelines or specification logs, and ensures production line
has appropriate equipment, configuration, and materials such as
x-ray machines, adequate conveyor adjustments, correct packaging
filmInspects equipment for safety guards that are working and used
by all employees.Learn and use LTT for all equipmentSets up scales,
checks weigher and metal detector correctly, and monitors their
operation during shiftEnsures daily production is run according to
the sequence stated in the scheduleOperates computer to produce
labels or placards for each runEnsures lot numbers from packaging
materials and blended products are recorded on the paperworkEnsures
correct packaging materials are used for each product, in
accordance with specifications, and replenishes materials as needed
(i.e., roll of film, labels)Ensures that all packaged product goes
through the metal detectorPerforms net weight checksPerforms
packaging integrity checks and labeling checksEnsures appropriate
pattern and count is followed by all Packers who palletize
productFollow allergen control proceduresPerforms machine washdown
between production change-overs and validates proper cleanliness by
following specific changeover proceduresRetools equipment during
changeoversTrain staff as backups.Follows GMPs & Safety rules and
